Hello , Bonjour!

I’m Melanie, and I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a Calgary wedding photographer and a Calgary maternity photographer. I focus on lifestyle photography capturing maternity, newborns and small, intimate weddings here in Calgary and all around the world.

I’m a French Canadian who grew up in Vancouver, fell in love with a kiwi girl, spent 10 years in Wellington NZ, then came back to Canada for our next adventure right before Covid hit (not the adventure we were looking for). I live in Calgary with my wife, Annette, our two amazing daughters and our cat Miss Dolly Parton. I LOVE cheese, I have a house full of plants that I take credit for but actually are better off when I don’t touch them. I am constantly planning our next holiday, and my retirement in Italy.

I found photography later in life and feel incredible lucky that I did. I’ve been photographing for years, started my business 3 years ago and still can’t believe this is my job!

My style is less Sears Photo Studio and more you living your best life. I’m not a pose and shoot kind of photographer (don’t get me wrong, we will still get those family or group photos!), but most of the time I want you relaxed and in the moment enjoying yourselves. Let’s go for a walk and let the kids explore, let them run around and get a bit dirty. I like it best when you aren’t looking at the camera! So if you’re looking for someone to capture you, as you are, raw, real and candid then I am definitely your girl!
