Best of 2021 - Pets

It is December so everyone’s social feeds are full of their Spotify top tracks list. I am not going to share mine because I want you all to think I am much cooler than I really am. But I thought what I would do is share with you some of my favourite pictures from the year, starting with pets.

Unfussed by photography

Pets straight up don’t care that I am taking pictures. Sometimes they like me being there if they think I am going to play with them, but once it becomes apparent that I have a job to do, they usually just walk away and wonder what all the fuss is about.

Draw me like one of your French girls

Some of them though can’t help but pose. Maybe they have dreams of being models or maybe they were models in their last life. Either way, they really give the shoot everything.

Mostly it’s dogs but occasionally…

I manage to get a cat. They care even less than the dogs so it is rare I manage to catch one but boy do they know they are pretty.

Lifestyle photography includes the whole family

It is always a privilege to get to capture people’s lives, including our beloved pets. I am looking forward to trying to photograph more squishy, drool covered, furry faces in 2022. In the meantime, I hope your holiday break is as relaxing as our cat finds the kitchen window on a sunny day.
